 개역개정 야곱의 아들들은 들에서 이를 듣고 돌아와서 그들 모두가 근심하고 심히 노하였으니 이는 세겜이 야곱의 딸을 강간하여 이스라엘에게 부끄러운 일 곧 행하지 못할 일을 행하였음이더라
 KJV And the sons of Jacob came out of the field when they heard it: and the men were grieved, and they were very wroth, because he had wrought folly in Israel in lying with Jacob's daughter: which thing ought not to be done.
 NIV Now Jacob's sons had come in from the fields as soon as they heard what had happened. They were filled with grief and fury, because Shechem had done a disgraceful thing in Israel by lying with Jacob's daughter--a thing that should not be done.
 공동번역 마침 야곱의 아들들은 들에서 돌아 와 그 이야기를 듣고 화가 치밀어 있었다. 세겜이 야곱의 딸을 겁탈하다니, 뻔뻔스럽게 이스라엘을 욕보이다니 ! 화가 안 날 수 없었다.

 Afr1953 En die seuns van Jakob het uit die veld gekom toe hulle dit hoor; en die manne was gegrief en baie kwaad, omdat hy 'n skanddaad in Israel begaan het deur met die dogter van Jakob gemeenskap te hou: so iets mag nie gebeur het nie.
 BulVeren А като чуха за станалото, синовете на Яков дойдоха от полето. И тези мъже се наскърбиха и много се разгневиха, задето той сторил безчестие на Израил, като лежал с дъщерята на Яков ? нещо, което не трябваше да стане.
 Dan Men da Jakobs Sønner hørte det, kom de hjem fra Marken; og Mændene græmmede sig og var s?re opbragte, fordi han havde øvet Skændselsd?d i Israel ved at ligge hos Jakobs Datter; thi sligt bør ikke ske.

 ACV And the sons of Jacob came in from the field when they heard it. And the men were grieved, and they were very angry, because he had wrought folly in Israel in laying with Jacob's daughter, which thing ought not to be done.
